The Quasset School House in Woodstock will be holding a free Open House from 1-4 on Sundays during July and August.

The Quasset School House, built in 1854 and relocated in 1954, is located in South Woodstock directly in front of the Woodstock Elementary School.

11:00 am to 12:00 pm – Player Evaluation

IMPORTANT CHANGE:  Only players who are interested in moving up from Coach Pitch to Minor League Baseball for the 2010 Spring Playing Season are asked to attend this evaluation session.

All players registered for Farm League or players moving from Farm League to Coach Pitch do not have to attend this evaluation session.

1:00 pm to 3:00 pm – Major League Baseball Tryouts

All baseball players ages 9 through 12 are asked to attend Major League baseball tryouts.  Any player who does not make a Major League baseball team or attend tryouts will automatically be placed on a Minor League baseball team for the 2010 Spring playing season.

An Internet Safety presentation will be held from 6:30 – 8pm at the Putnam Public Library. Detective Lussier, of the Putnam Police Department, will demystify social networking, basic Internet safety, cyber bullying and texting for parents, grandparents, teachers and all others concerned about online safety.

There will be time for questions and answers after the presentation.
